Practice History

Established in 1948 This dental practice began in 1948 with my father, Dr. Robert F. Ferber. It was his passion for dentistry and concern for his patients that instilled my desire to follow in his footsteps. I joined his practice in 1983 when I graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry. I had the pleasure of his mentoring until 1992 and I do my best to continue his legacy of care, concern and quality dentistry. I still have a few patients that began with him in 1948. These are true treasures.

Janelle Ferber-Stumpf, DDS

I began working in the dental field at the age of 14 when my father Dr. Robert Ferber decided I needed to earn my allowance. He slowly introduced me to various tasks around his office and I gradually grew to know each task and admired his knowledge and expertise. He instilled in me a desire to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry I was able to truly admire the skill with which my father practiced and the standards he upheld. I was very fortunate to be able to work alongside him for 9 years.

I work hard to keep the legacy of Ferber/Stumpf dentistry modern and up to date. Continuing education, state of the art materials and technologically advanced equipment continues to be my focus as it evolves and improves the dentistry I provide. This process has taken me into new areas where medicine and dentistry work together for the best possible outcome. The study of sleep medicine, sleep apnea, snoring and improved sleep quality in children and adults is another facet where modern dentistry can contribute to a better quality of life. I recently completed the Dental Sleep Medicine mini residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine jointly presented by the American Academy of Craniofacial pain.

Our Staff

Sally - Front Desk

I am Sally, I have worked with Dr. Stumpf for many years and it has been a great privilege, honor, and joy to do so. The front desk can be very challenging but also very rewarding. Dr. Stumpf has many loyal and wonderful patients, whom I get to assist. Helping schedule appointments, work with insurance, and billing are the most important things I have to accomplish here at Stumpf Dental.

Patty - Receptionist

I am very excited to have joined Dr. Jan and her team here at Stumpf Dental! I have been in customer service for many years and look forward to getting to know the patients here and ensuring your visit is always a pleasant experience. I love gardening and enjoy attracting birds and butterflies to my yard. I have been sewing most of my life and recently took up quilting.

Carol - Medical and Dental Insurance Specialist

Hi, my name is Carol and I’m so happy to be a part of the team at Stumpf Dental. I have over ten years of medical and dental insurance experience. My specialty is helping patients maximize all their health care benefits. When I’m not at work I love to cook, garden and do craft projects. Spoiling my six grandchildren is fun too!

Harika - Chairside Dental Assistant

My name is Harika and my homeland is India. I have traveled to the US with my husband and daughter. Currently, I am working with Dr. Janelle as her chairside assistant. In India I have a Bachelor’s Degree as a dentist. I am learning techniques and materials from Dr. Janelle that I have not seen in India. My interests include cooking traditional Indian food, playing with my daughter and short day trips.

Dana - RDH

I love working in the field of Dental Hygiene because it is focused on caring for people. When I am away from work I enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking, quilting, and serving the needy.

I've been a patient of Dr. Ferber-Stumpf for two decades and would never entertain the thought of going to anyone else. My daughter has chosen her, too, as an adult.
